Give and take

Long long ago, there was a greedy landlord. He always wanted to squeeze something from his workers, but never wants to give them even one more cent.
One day the landlord walks along the river and carelessly falls inside. Unfortunately he can not swim, so he cries out "Help! Help! i can not swim!" His workers hear his voice and run to help him. One of the workers stretches his hand and screams: "Give me your hand, give me your hand, i will catch you!" but the landlord, it seems can not hear what the worker says and continues crying out: "Help! Help! Who can help me?!" The worker screams one more time, but the landlord is still yelling out "Help! Help!".
At last when the landlord almost drowns, the other worker realizes something. He says to the landlord "Take my hand, my lord" . And so the landlord immediately catches his hand and is saved.
